Seeing the chimney sweeper is a sign of good luck in Romania as well. At least it used to be.
As for holding a button it's important to do that when you see a priest, it's bad luck if you don't :)))
Customs differ within one country, and it is no wonder every nation has it's own interpretation, @ananuaremere :)
