Castle of Ferragudo - Algarve Portugal

The Castle of São João do Arade, or Castle of Ferragudo also known as Forte de São João do Arade or simply Arade Castle, is located in the Algarve, in the village and parish of Ferragudo.

Ferragudo is a land of fishermen who has always been closely linked to the river and the sea. Today, although it maintains the same connection to the sea, its economic activity is linked to the tourist activity.

Portugal hosts the Grand Prix of F1 Motonautics in the Arade River Estuary.
