Why I found positive and happy people fake

Why I found positive and happy people fake ?

This was a few years ago. I used to find all ever smiling happy faces so fake :)

The moment someone said "you are amazing, you are going to have a wonderful day". I felt they were lying.
I felt somewhere their reality was different but they were putting up a facade. Or they were trying to please.

My reality was always being a die hard pessimist. I was negative about myself and others. I felt life is about struggling.

I was once in a coaching session with my coach and I asked my coach
"Why does bad happen to me always"
My coach smiled, looked into my eyes and said
"What is inside us is what we see outside"

I realised I was looking for bad things to happen and hence thats what happened in my life.

That day I found out how wrong I was about happy people, they were happy from inside hence they were always smiling. They were not fake infact they were more real. I was living in a fake world I had created for myself!
