I've not seen a close-up of alyssum, I didn't recognize it! I grow white alyssum, as it is one of my husband's favorites.
And of course I love the pansy! The face ones are another favorite of my husband.
Yes I like the white - have tried the mauve variety but it does not do so well as the white.
