I always buy free range. My father kept 100s of chickens long time ago in a huge field which they'd run around in all day long until before dark we'd go down to feed them and I'd collect the eggs from the hedges and anywhere they would lay. Then at night they were put in their big coops until we'd let them out in the morning, it was a good life then, for them and us
