Working the SWAP.LTC:SWAP.STEEM Swap

I believe that the best way to play the SteemIt game is to buy nice pile of STEEM to have a decent upvote and then to start powering down the curation rewards.

Users win if they pull more out than they put in. Sadly, since Steemit is a closed loop, there is bound to be more losers than winners.

I decided to put my words where my mouth during the current crypto dip.

I thought $0.10 would be the bottom for the year, I was wrong. Regardless, I bought a pile of LTC and have been slowly putting it in my account.

I've been working the SWAP.STEEM:SWAP.LTC swap on Hive-Engine for the last several weeks. This swap pool has only $82.74 liquidity at the time of this review. It has 0.426 LTC and 495 STEEM.

The liquity is so low, that I can only push one or two steem at a time without experiencing wild slippage.

NOTE, before starting my transfer, I invested 0.12 SWAP.LTC and 142 SWAP.STEEM in the pool. I own 28.76% of this diesel pool. During the month, I received 0.00258651 LTC and 2.74 STEEM for my investment. I received $0.477 fees for a $24 investment ... which is pretty sweet.

I also tried the SWAP.STEEM:SWAP.BTC pool on Hive-Engine. This pool has $298 in liquidity. I can process 10 STEEM at a time without significant slippage.

Hive Engine has swaps between STEEM, HIVE, BEE and BLURT which are well funded. It is a nice platform for moving STEEM about.

My Current STEEM Investment

SteemBlockExplorer says that I now have 6,004 STEEM and that my 99% upvote is valued at $0.0213. My upvote is worth two pennies.

The page says that I have 9,768,134 VESTS.

Conclusion

Since I can only force a steem at a time through the swap, it took a long time to transfer my LTC purchase into STEEM. I will be happy when it is over and my account will be fully funded.
