Prayer to God: May he grant us joy in our hearts, and may there be peace in our days. Ben Sira 50:23

in #prayeryesterday

The master of wisdom Ben Sira, after teaching in his book about the importance of the fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, and equanimity) to achieve spiritual enlightenment, giving wise sayings to live with well-being, and showing how the wisdom of God was poured into the history of the nation of Israel through its most notable characters, the master of wisdom ended his book with a spiritual prayer to God and a final conclusion; the book written by Ben Sira during the Hellenistic period is one of the most outstanding texts of the sapiential literature of the Bible, his teachings, read assiduously, allow men to understand the depth of the word of God in the life of man.
And the master of wisdom began his prayer by exalting the glory of God, that is, the perfect fame of the Lord, above all things, because the Lord made all things in harmony, and so that good and life would fertilize all his creation, and so with these words, the wise man expressed himself in his book:
"And now, bless the God of all
who works great wonders everywhere on the earth,
who has raised us up from our birth
and who deals with us according to his mercy" Ben Sira 50:22.
And then the master of wisdom continued asking for God's blessing, a very special blessing, the perfection of the human heart, that is, the wisdom of the heart, and the beatitude that accompanies this spiritual gift, which is the beatitude of peace:
"May he grant us joy in our hearts,
and may there be peace in our days
in Israel, for all time to come" Ben Sira 50:23.
With this, Ben Sira reflected on the importance of the spiritual goods and how everything else, such as prosperity and happiness, comes from them. Finally, it can be said that these teachings and reflections were not forgotten and had a profound influence especially, on the Christian faith, and on the doctrine of the Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, when Lord Jesus spoke in parables to express that knowledge of God that must be discovered and understood.
