RE: iftool - Live Interactive Fiction Development Environment

in #programming6 years ago

Hmm... this is a particularly interesting tool and can be very useful as a means of demos (demonstrations for those outside Video Gaming) and, of course, CYOA. I only bring this up because contingently I am a writer for the @bananafish QITR (Quest in the Realms) and it necessitates this response: we could’ve benefitted very greatly with this piece of software. Now of course it is still in its baby-days (InDev or Prototype stage, we get it), yet it does seem useful to nonetheless. If not for the fact of promoting our stuff and cobenefitting, then to push to the limit oure seperate projects.

We might if this gets updated enough for something as content-heavy (each episode is averaging 400 words for about 50+ episodes) as QITR, then it might be considered and put into great use as a demo for the next edition. I’ll tell the potassium God, the @bananafish, all about this. And I won’t have a hard time explaining as the post goes into what CYOA is, what Iftool is and hey a video(!) with pictures. So thanks for all the details here, I shall seek to send information their way and document this regardless.

Awesome find @theironfelix!

As a writer for the above mention QITR, @crypticwyrm, this might be a tool that we as a group would use. We'll have to see how user friendly it is and let you know our feedback when we have it.

Indeed, we'll see what we'll see. We can at least promise to give back feedback so yah can make it better for the next time we get to use it, @crypticwyrm! Thanks for even devoting and putting this out to the internet. (And good job on that @curie once again.)
