Project summerhouse (6): Aaaaaaand ACTION!
In may, it was time to start this project properly. So, our excavator driver drove his tools to our property and after some chit-chat and instructions, he started the actual work. That time it was only about evening the place and see what's beneath the surface. We didn't know if there is rocks, clay or other unwanted stuff.
So, this is what we found:
A couple of big rocks. Otherwise, the soil was perfect moraine but there was a couple of huge rocks. First, we thought that we would have to burst them as they were quite big for the excavator to lift. Luckily, our excavator driver has a brother with a bigger excavator. :D He called him for a help and in a couple of minutes, there were two excavators working on our property. Finally, the bigger excavator could roll the rock off. Yay!
Another one wasn't that easy. The rock was so deep in the ground and part of it was in clay which locked the rock very tightly.
This guy is not small, the rock is big.
Well, now it was time for real action! Two excavators working on one rock! I must admit that I was super nervous and excited. :D
Isn't that super cool?!
On that day, we found more rocks, a couple of them. However, they weren't that huge and one excavator could roll them. In the end, the place looked like that:
What a start!
Lindiry
It seems that smaller excavator is 13 tons and the bigger is 22.5 tons.
I guess that the guy next the rock is very giant and muscular 😊
I would say that the rocks volume is about 7 cubic metres and it means that weight is roughly 15 tons.
What happened to those rocks?
I'll get to it in one of my posts!
Can I read that post tomorrow?
Well.. Of course.
That is super cool!
When is the next update?
Still waiting 😉
