Our success at an early stage in steemit depends on how well we read, understand, and ask relevant questions about what we don't know. Work while studying. However, if you are not a reader then I recommend not to continue the reading.
I wanna tell you a bit about understanding the basic concept of steemit, this time I'll liken the steemit to one of my favorite Manga and Anime, One Piece. Let's do it !!
One Piece is a manga created and illustrated by Eichiro Oda, it tells about the great age of the pirates. The plain in the world of One Piece is called the Grand Line. Grand Line is the main setting in the one piece. The Grand Line is divided into four broad oceans: East Blue, West Blue, South Blue and North Blue. The Grand Line is the gathering place of the great pirates who are eyeing the treasure (One Piece). The oceans are controlled and governed by 5 great powers:
- World Government
- Navy (Marine Army)
- Pirate King (highest position in Pirate world).
- Yonkou (4 Emperors of the Seas)
- Sichibukai (7 Pirates working for Government)
- Supernova (11 Pirates dubbed the worst Generation)
The basic concept of the steemit platform is similar to the One Piece world, let's call it the Sea of Steemit. I describe the structure as follows:
- Pirate King and his crew, (@ned dkk).
- Navy, (Witnesses, Steemcleaners and cheetahs).
- Emperor of the Seas, (The steemians who have a reputation and a high Steem Power commonly called Whales).
- Sichibukai and Supernova, (Steemians who have a reputation and moderate SteemPower).
- Ordinary Pirates, (Steemians with reputation and low Steem Power).
As we sail through the Ocean of Steemit, we will find a lot of content in the form of video, writing, knowledge, pictures, photographs and others (as a products/merchandise). Pirates in the world of steemit have equal opportunities to explore, cooperate, inform, knowledge, interact, comment and react and gain rewards in the form STEEM, STEEM DOLLARS, and STEEM POWER.
STEEM and STEEM DOLLARS are digital currencies that can be converted into common currency including rupiah. Because the goodness of captain @ned, the novice pirates who want to wade through the Sea of Steemit (create an account) will get an initial capital of 0.5 Steem plus a 14.5 Steem Power temporary loan. Thus, the total initial capital given by the captain for the new pirate is 15 STEEM in the form STEEM POWER (SP).
When the pirates get a benefit from the results of cruising (Creating Content), the 14.5 SP interest-free capital loan from Captain @ned dkk is also gradually withdrawn gradually, according to the value of the profit earned. For example gain 1 STEEM entry, then the loan is withdrawn automatically also 1 STEEM. This loan will be withdrawn when we already have SP capital from the transaction result itself as much as 15 SP.
With such capital loans direct steemians can travel and explore (create content) in the form of writing, drawing, photographs, videos, music, memes, or making the best comments on other steemians content in order to interact and exchange knowledge and benefit each other.
The benefits gained from making content are paid with Steem Dollars (SBD) and Steem Power (SP). While the advantages of buying (giving Upvote on) other people's content are paid only in the form of Steemit Power. These profits will go into each wallet and automatically become additional capital for the future.
In the world of One Piece, there is a treasure of the ocean that is very sought after by the pirates, the Devil Fruit. Fruit that can provide tremendous power for pirates who eat it.
In the sea of Steemit there is also a treasure that is expected by the steemians, which get UPVOTE from Whales account (voting vote for free by account with high SP against quality content). So the benefits or rewards that we get is also very high.
In the sea of steemit there is an account or community that curates quality content. The curation is done to help the steemians develop. Curation is also we get without having to pay in advance (free). So let's try to get better at creating content.
Same But Different
We could have likened the steemit platform to anything, for example as I have written or steemit is the same as a business because therein there is buying and selling activities (making content and voting votes), or steemit just like any other social media.
But steemit is different because it is run with Blockchain system. Steemit is a decentralized social media platform. In it, Steemit rewards users both for posting articles/content and for voting votes to other interesting content. Essentially we can make money in steemit.
and many things we have to pay attention to. If the Grand Line in the One Piece series is the most dangerous sea and dubbed the pirate's grave, then steemit is also a grave for the social media lovers or etc.
Pirates with only knowledge "if we wade through the ocean, we will get a lot of Treasure". Because of that excitement, the novice pirates begin to explore, pirate, collect Treasures and feel the strongest, without learning more about the sea. When they meet a stronger opponent or a fierce ocean climate, they will only be victims.
Similarly, when we hear about the steemit from the media, friends or any promo-steem described, all we can catch is a "Playing steemit can make money". We eagerly sign up and start posting, posting and posting .. Without learning it first so that when hope does not match reality, we will only become victims of self-thinking.
At first I was too, the positive thing is I learned little by little, and honestly it's really troublesome. And I know one thing "there is nothing easy in this world when it comes to money" (Do u with me ? 🙋).
If steemit is a business, then capital is the main thing to do business. But not the capital that determines whether we will succeed or fail. but rather the power of network or connection we have. by having a network or friends, the greater the supporters who will make us successful.
So, the first thing we should do when we join in steemit is to learn what steemit is, interact, build relationships with the community and other things that can support our success in steemit.
As did the captain of the straw hat pirate, Monkey D Luffy. not the first treasure he pursued but a friendship relationship, he was looking for a friend who could help and support him become a great pirate.

Steemit is a social networking site, a new way of blogging. Run with the latest and cutting-edge internet technology called Blockchain. Touted as social media like facebook, instagram, twitter etc, but Steemit is different because run with Blockchain system, Steemit working system much more transparent, wise and fair.
With this technology of blockchain system, the currency of Steem and Steem Dollars (SBD) is produced in accordance with the growth of Bank Indonesia (BI), which creates rupiah money. The currency is then distributed to the Steemit Market with the composition :
- 75% for writers and curators reward,
- 15% for SP holders or shareholders, including Captain @ned
- and 10% to pay witnesses in running the system.
so, no need to bother and confused where the money and rewards we get. rather than bother thinking, better who do not have an account, register immediately, create a good content, post and get rewards.

Maybe it's a little cliche because I likened steemit to a one piece world that contains pirates whose work is pirating and stealing. But, in this sea of steemit do not try to sell stolen goods (content plagiarism results) because it will directly deal with (I call) Shinigami and his pets, namely steemcleaners and cheetahs.
Cheetah is a bot that ensures that all posts on the platform are genuine while Steemcleaners as my knowledge is monitored by humans to attend reported misuse and plagiarism. If we get cheetahs and steemcleaners, our reputation score will decline.
