LOL, thanks! Yeah I felt the same way when I first got in I tried to convert some people to become steemians and obviously they wanted like a 1000 answers to all their questions just to say no it sounds scammy!

I think that the whole ICO boom and Bitconnect and the whole Anti BTC narrative has stuck pretty well so peopel fear what they don’t want to take the time to understand yet MLMs are good to go!

Go be your own boss and sell shit and recruit others to try and fail at selling shit

When trying to get people come here I've explained too much which didn't work like it never works when I explain too much about anything, I've told that one particular person one or two things that can be done here, things that I think they are interested but as they want to know a bit more, it usually is the crypto feature (like you said) that makes them decide that this is too hard or a scam. Or both. Or too good to be true.

I have not tried yet reverse psychology. Because it's really hard to do if I'm the one bringing the subject up for the first time. So what I'm doing now is waiting for someone to ask: "Whatcha doing?" so that I can say: "A really neat thing that pays me money but it's not your thing, you wouldn't be interested in it. It's not for you." And I have a feeling that I will still be waiting for someone non Steemian to ask when I'm 90, and that age is still pretty far far far away for me.

But when, not if, when the day that Steem and getting money for blogging /playing games / (what ever) without middle man comes, they be like: "Why didn't you tell me?" and I say: (I'm sure you can relate) "I would bang my head to the wall and shoot myself if I wasn't so FILTHY RICH! HA!" :D

I think I may have gotten carried away just a tiny amount...
