Jesus and the prophets: But God didn't send Elijah to anyone except a widow at Zarephath in the territory of Sidon. Luke 4:26

The New Testament explains that Jesus is the culmination of the instruction of the prophets. For Christians, Jesus summarizes all the teachings of the Old Testament because Jesus is the "Son of Man," that is, the personification of God's perfections. The doctrine of the Kingdom of God is, in a certain sense, a continuation of the law of Moses, but also its overcoming through the spiritual love of Jesus.
And the Gospel of Luke recounts a very special situation that Jesus experienced at the beginning of his ministry when he was teaching in the synagogues of Nazareth. The Gospel of Luke explains that Jesus entered a synagogue to teach, and there they presented him with a text from Isaiah. Jesus considered the text before him to be fulfilled in his own person, and despite the skepticism of the people around him, he continued with his teaching.
And so Jesus, after speaking about Isaiah, referred to the prophet Elijah. And like all the prophets, Jesus taught that God chooses people because of their fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion), like Job, for example, the Bible does not specify that Job was a descendant of Abraham according to the flesh.
And with these words, Jesus referred to a miracle performed by Elijah: "There were many widows in Israel in Elijah's time. I had not rained for three-and-a-half years, and the famine was severe everywhere in the country. But God didn't send Elijah to anyone except a widow at Zarephath in the territory of Sidonª Luke 4:25-26.
The Bible says that these words of Jesus, which were a criticism of the local people, enraged the synagogue attendees, who pushed him out of the city. But all Jesus did was criticize the hardness of hearts, because the wisdom of God and the deeper meaning of the law of Moses do not enter these kinds of hearts. What Jesus meant by interpreting this text was that although the Jews were the recipients of the divine promises, God's mercy also extended to others, something that the prophets also taught with their wisdom.
Jesus ultimately did not come to contradict the prophets but to explain that nothing can grow in the mind of man without the fear of God, not even faith, because without the fear of God, even faith is superficial and sterile.
