Proverbial #7: No matter what, the truth always comes out.
Truth is one of the hardest things to know in life. It is hard sometimes to tell what truth is or who is telling it. To free from this disturbance, the Yoruba people (from Nigeria) concluded that:
Eyan meji o kin padanu iro; ti eni ton ban paa fun o ba mo, eni ton pa mo. meaning - two people cannot be casualties of a lie. If the person who is being told the lie does not know, then the person telling the lie knows.
Truth is like flames, no matter how you cover it, it will always come out. It might not be immediate, but it will definitely come out.
There is this general saying that the truth shall set you free. No matter the situation you find yourself, the best thing you can do for yourself is say the truth. Sometimes, the result might not be a desired one but within you, you have this sense of freedom and rest of heart that you did the right thing. No matter how you try to lie about something, truth will come out one day and you will be put to shame.
Truth never damages a cause that is just. ― Mahatma Gandhi
You will indeed be popular and respected in the society for being upright, always saying the truth and standing for justice. People have this sense of conviction that no matter what, Mr or Mrs 'A' does not lie. I doubt if there is a better fame than this. Even if you are in a tight corner, the best you can do is say the truth.
If you are the type that lie much, how would you tell your children to say the truth always? If you tell them to say the truth while you are a chronic liar, then you are living a double standard life. If after all your labour and training them to be upright and say the truth always and they find out one day that you are a chronic liar, you might lose the respect they have for you and stopped being that best dad or mom that you have always been to them.
Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth - Buddha
In the end, you have more to lose than to gain. Why don't you stay true to yourself and always stand for what is right. Cultivate the habit of of saying the truth always because it will save you always!

You can not lock up smoke in a room;it will always look for a way out.
That's why we journalists do not tell lies, we simply make adjustment to the truth. Not all truth is healthy for individual or public consumption.
Keep it up bro!
Great post!
Thanks for this bro!
i really love this part:
according to my post few weeks ago, i wrote that the truth is one and indivisible, you can't change it, hide it now and and it shall come to past later
thanks for the post boss.
Thanks for your contribution brother!
What is hidden under the sun must surely come out one day. An igbo adage said " adighi ekpuchi eziokwu aka" meaning you can never cover the truth even if u did it will definitely burst out one day. Whatever committed in dark must come out when the light shines... a life of truth is a life of diginity.
You are on point sister! Thanks!
If you want to walk with your head up then be truthful, even if everyone around you is against you. Truth will always prevail eventually.
On point! Thanks bro
No matter how far a stone is thrown it must surely fall to the ground. Truth is like pregnancy you cannot cover it for long. Ride on bro
Exactly brother! Thanks for your contribution.
Gud write up.... Keep it up
Lie is a part of our daily lives, buh integrity pays
@diamondrich
Saying it is part of our daily lives suggests we lie every day, like it is our nature and everybody lies! Is that true?
Well-done sir for this wonderful post.... More grease to your elbow.
Thank you! 👍
Truth is simple. It is that good man in you.
Yea brother! 👍
Very true indeed. Permit me to join you in quoting the Yoruba's (Western Nigeria). "Iro oni oruko meji, iro ni iro nje. Beeni ti iro bajelo fun ogun odun, ojokan ni otito jio ba." Meaning : Truth does not have two names and if lies should hold sway for twenty years, the truth will catch up with it one day. Good job @smyle
Nice contribution brother! 👍
