Everyday we go through different phase of life and as a result we do feel stressed. In most cases, we face emotional trauma that may lead to other health symptoms.

There are some relief that we could work on which helped in stress, So in this contest I will be taking part in on the different relief techniques of stress.

Do stress relief meditation, do any form of exercise. Share the video and let us know how effective it is for you.

I really enjoyed this meditation, as I take off everything in my mind and allowed myself rest for 5 minute.

I sat down in a quiet room where nobody was around and my daughter was in school so I was totally alone in the house. So I sat down with my legs crossed and my two hand placed on my two knees, my eyes were closed I took some minutes to wipe off everything that I was thinking at that particular moment then I relaxed, breathe in and out then I started my meditation.

So for the past few days now I've been going through a lot of emotional trauma and I was having serious migraine. I took so medication to relieve me of this pains but to no avail I checked my BP yesterday it was 147/84.

So I took a day off today just to relax myself and help myself heal from emotional stress, So after this meditation I discovered that they migraines reduced then I'll begin to feel better.

The whole of today was used to work on my emotional stress and believe me when I say I am much better today.

Share any creative activity, such as painting, writing poetry, or crafting.

I have different creative activities that helps me when I'm emotionally stressed, I love beading, knitting, painting and paper craft. This thing helps me take my mind off anything and focus on how the outcome will be.

She loves it, she came back from school and saw it in her room and she was so happy then me I was happy and relieved of that emotional stress at least I put a smile on someone face.

There will be a short story, read the story and express your own feelings.

Sneha’s story is so emotional, I wish every parent would always understand the main reason they need a child before they embark on that journey. I wish they understand the responsibility of parenthood and welcome every child with love. This is the part that Sneha's parent didn't take to heart.

The parent: They neglected their child with down syndrome to suffer which affected their child mental health. Instead of loving their child, they constantly have conflicts blaming each other, this result in making Sneha feel like a burden to them.

They neglected Sneha's mental health as well, Sneha's suffers from bullying from all angles, she was disrespected and despised from family members because of her physical defect. The mental trauma became intensive after the death of her grandmother who was the only person that loved and care for her. As it worsen, she lost her self worth, gave up and attempted to take her life.

The issue here would have been made easy if the parent accepted their blessing and face the reality. They would have meet with a specialist to seek for counseling and guidance on how to raise Sneha their special-needs child with dignity and love. They should have love and understand their child rather than blaming.

What would have been done differently

  • Sneha should have think about her life and motivated herself from the advice and love her grandma gave to her, she would have reminded herself that her life had values.

  • Sneha's parent failed as a parent, they should have seek the help of a professional on how to raise their child and how to help her mental health.

  • Family members and the society should have showed her love, understand her and pay attention to signs of depression.

My thoughts on this story

Never neglect emotional trauma or stress, it is harmful. The heart is so treacherous than anything, so always pay attention to your emotions.

Then as a parent, receive every child with love and appreciate the maker. Irrespective of the child's ability, every child should be love, respected, and cared for equally. It is the responsibility of a parent to care for their children and not the grandparents.

Lastly, in any situation you see yourself, accept the reality, look for solutions or way forward rather than blame.

Create an infographic about the 5 steps of stress relief.
