RE: The Great Catch Twenty-Two

in #psychology5 years ago

hi dear @sukhasanasister, a difficult topic for a Saturday morning !! I always remember this anecdote from Edison, during an interview after the discovery of the light bulb: a reporter asked him: "Say, Mr. Edison, how did it feel to fail two thousand times in making a light bulb?"
Well, Edison's answer was:
“I haven't failed two thousand times to make a light bulb; I simply found nineteen-ninety-nine ways on how a light bulb should not be made. "
This is the winning attitude. what would have happened if Edison had given up after 10 attempts? if he hadn't been convinced that sooner or later he would have found a way?
Any experience is useful in life if it is not considered a mere failure. it is impossible to know a priori the exact path that leads to the goal. Mistakes are inevitable and necessary.
