The Very True Story of Jordan Peterson
If you are looking for a good laugh, check out this breakdown of Jordon Peterson by thought slime. As usual, I don't agree with everything said - but it is still eye opening and pretty funny...
Sometimes Peterson says things that I agree with, but as you can see in the following video there are many conclusions he reaches which don't stand up to examination and which make him out to be what he claims very much to not be. Denial is epidemic at this point on Earth. I am also aware that 'thought slime' does make some judgements that are likely not a fair representation of the situation. Overall though, Peterson does not come out well here!
I'm afraid that guy rubbed me up the wrong way to start with. I instantly lose respect in anyone who approaches an argument with sarcasm and by trying to humiliate the other. I did, however hear him out for a bit longer. While I agree with some of the things he pointed out, most of the clips he took as examples, I've seen the full interview for and it takes things out of context, cutting it like that. Something which I find underhand.
Peterson is human, just like all of us and doesn't have all the answers. He's not right about everything, but no-one is. It doesn't mean we shouldn't hear what he has to say, in full and it doesn't mean that others shouldn't give their side of the argument too, or disagree with him. Often the sides to every argument are both correct and are why we need to have these discussions, for balance.
Alt righters might be attracted to some of what Peterson says, but it doesn't mean he supports them. He's also said some things that they really don't like and put them on the back foot in interviews.
Maybe I just don't get this guy's sense of humour because I'm female. It felt more like female bullying to me. This is how girls bully, by laughing at the others expense and trying to discredit and humiliate.

I think he has just had enough of all the brain dead comments from the mainstream that get created in relation to the topics he covers and how the people doing so tend to be being very well paid for it. I feel his position to be that of an outcast/underdog that sees the hypocrisy, denial and lies of the establishment. It would probably be better not to use sarcasm, but I feel that - generally - his level of understanding makes up for it (not always).
I understand that the clips are edited and we don't see the full context, however - after watching them several times I don't feel that it is invalid to use them in the way he did.
I think his intention here is to cut through the discourse and assumptions to highlight patterns that most people aren't looking at. I think part of what motivates him is perhaps a concern that the psychology involved as presented by peterson is being normalised and even given 'genius' status by many.
i personally ponder if we should be pursuing the meaning of life..
wouldn't it be wiser to pursue the nicing of life?
hey makes more sense than what he was saying... lol.
the meaning of life is that you are alive and get to create what you prefer - so yes, the 'nicing of life' is not a bad idea ;)
obviously part of that is the light of god tackling the dragon woman of chaos though. lol
