[Puzzle|WordSearch]STEM Saturday #16 Promoted Post Word Search

in #puzzles2 years ago

In continuing recognition of STEM Saturday Post Promotion #16: Finding cause of death for one of North America's rarest snakes on the Steem blockchain, here is another word search with 21 words from the post by @sarahjay1, The rarest snake in North America was found… choked to death on a centipede. Words may be found in any of the following directions:

  • left to right
  • right to left
  • top to bottom
  • bottom to top

All words have five letters or more.

As before, no matter how many you find, please post just one word per person in the comments. You may also wish to report on how many you were able to find and how long it took.

As a reminder, some English words get included by chance when the word search is generated. If a word is not at least five letters long and contained in the post, The rarest snake in North America was found… choked to death on a centipede, then it's not a solution to the puzzle.

Enjoy!

Nature

And here is the offer itself, I searched for about 20 minutes)

Herpetologists suggest that this species is suffering from habitat destruction, so the International Union for Conservation of Nature classifies it as endangered.

After a visitor reported the find to a park ranger, the snake was picked up, fixed in ethanol along with the prey, and placed in the HERPETOLOGICAL collection of the Florida Museum of Natural History.

Nice. That was another one that I thought might be overlooked. Obscure word and spelled backwards.

But filling almost a whole line and thus quite conspicuous (for me).

True. I've noticed over the weeks that longer words seem to be easier to find, and also words in the outermost row/column.

A rare and secretive rim rock CROWNED snake

I found the word; "reptile" (in the 5th column) and four new words apart from the ones mentioned by other users.

Enge’s team did find a bite mark on the underside of the snake's belly, but its strength was not enough to kill the REPTILE.

Wow I really love this game, I've found rarest and I've found nine words within 15mins time

centipede

I found museum

I found "specimen".

I have found the word, "reptile"

I found poison
