4th e relationship between democracy and politics in a country is very simple. While democracy is a system of government  that prides itself in the wide  participation of the masses or electorates in governance and decision making,  politics is  A methodology and activities associated with running a government, an organization, or a movement. In order words while democracy is a system of government politics is the process  this system  is operated.

Understanding the two concepts in this question would provide a framework for the answer to the question.

Democracy is basically defined as a system of government for the  people,  by the people and of the people.  Democracy as a system of government first  appeared in old Greek  cities such as Athens. The Athenians who believed that the government should be about the people and the equality of citizens were among  the first set of people to  introduce democracy  as a system of government.  Though it has been argued by historians  that democracy didn't  officially  begin from  Athens but other ancient greek cities before  Athens embraced it as well.

Politics on the other hand is defined as  the activities, actions, and policies that are used to gain and hold power in a government or to influence a government.

According to  Wikipedia  politics is a multifaceted word. It has a set of fairly specific meanings that are descriptive and nonjudgmental (such as "the art or science of government" and "political principles"), but often does carry a connotation of dishonest malpractice. The word has been used negatively for many years: the British national anthem as published in 1745 calls on God to "Confound their politics",and the phrase "play politics", for example, has been in use since at least 1853, when abolitionist Wendell Phillips declared: "We do not play politics; anti-slavery is no half-jest with us.

The relationship between these two concepts  is that  they are interwoven. While one is a process of operating a system the other is the system operated  in any particular country.
