Spiritual quote: Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues. Proverbs 17:28

Wisdom has a very deep meaning, and it does not deal with superficial or worldly matters, because wisdom is uncreated, it had neither beginning nor will have an end, and its origin is God. Those who seek easy recipes for fleeting happiness and wellness or quick money will not find the necessary answers in wisdom. Wisdom cannot be reduced to mere self-help, because wisdom, besides being the perfect science, is also a direction of the mind.
And King Solomon, knowing this truth, wrote a book called Proverbs, to inspire and educate the nation of Israel in the science of God. And in one part of this great ancient book, this spiritual text of the Bible highlights the Solomonic proverbs, a list of phrases with common sense that were probably collected from popular knowledge of that time or from the wisdom the king gained governing many countries.
And among his thoughts, the following spiritual quote stands out: "Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues" Proverbs 17:28. Although they are not what they seem, silence and meditation can be perceived as wisdom, Solomon reflected. In a world where mistakes, fleeting desires, and passions like envy and revenge prevail among ordinary people, keeping a cool head is essential. A brief spark can start a fire; many private wars are sparked by misunderstood words, a very common problem among proud men. The problems because of their destructiveness are progressive, and it is known when they begin, but never when they end.
This is why another of Solomon's teachings is similar: "Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding" Proverbs 17:27. Learning not to be impetuous, and to coldly measure one's own words and actions is a sign of maturity and of having gained great experience. Approaching wisdom is a matter of life for human beings; ultimately, the wisdom taught by sages like Solomon does not produce immediate results, but it does bestow blessings when the mind focuses on her and her spiritual teachings with constancy and firmness.
