Could not agree more. Social and cultural expectations about what we are 'permitted' or 'supposed' to be doing with our lives, are so pervasive and insinuate themselves into our lives from such a young age that I think often we ourselves are not aware that we are holding ourselves to standards that if we really interrogate them have nothing to do with being ourselves. Freeing ourselves from these assumptions is scary but if you embrace it, it is the most liberating feeling ever. Thanks for the inspiration!
