Monday Mission Entry: 130KM Drive Reflection On New Year Resolution

Couple of days ago, i drove across the border of Sabah to a town called Labuan. Its about 130km from where we lived. It takes through the country side of my town passing through paddy fields, hill roads, beautiful green lush jungle and also small villagers.

There is always been my thing on driving alone, (not that i like it) but driving alone gave me more room for sense of self responsibility, gave me time to reflect, and also give me chance to think and analyze better.

Sometimes when i have blurry on certain matters, i will take a drive to no where just to reflect on a certain big decision making.

On this drive up to Labuan, it gave me time to reflect on my 2019 and also resolution for 2020. So let’s get into.

Happening in 2019

1.Fitness

I kinda made it actually, it was my 2018 resolution carried on to 2019,i swam a lot and seriously i do. Swimming was my only sport i tried that lasted more than 6 months, comparing to other sports. Note also that i swim alone too, (with some friends i made in pool) but yeah no swimming buddy, the motivation needs to that high up( if you understand what i mean).

Swimming for fitness and eat healthier food was the main goal for the first part of the year, and i made it actually, at least to my liking, i drop about 24 Kg, drop 1 size down. Totally stoke about it, people see the new me and congratulate me and etc.
i really wish i can continue this in 2020, currently i have stop due to my no.2 reason which shortly i gonna write.

In supporting me on this journey, none other than my wife, whom actually encourages me to go and don’t be lazy. She even gave a swimmer fitness watch to count my calories, laps, heart beat and etc for my Christmas present,

Totally love her to bits for doing this.

Resolution

To Continue swimming as a fitness lifestyle and change the reckless diet to a healthy one. Simple right??? But its damn hard, diet is the hardest, not the swimming, not eating your favorite chocolates is hard.

Well that’s the idea of it and let’s work on that step by step.

2.Sarah Faith arrived.
This one came in middle of year, on the midst of my swimming diet lifestyle, thats when everything put on hold for the baby arrival.

At 5 months now, she can sing lullabies and smile at you. It os undeniable that Sarah Faith has to be number 1 agenda for now, thou we have other plans but God has other plans for us, a better one and i am really glad i hear his voice and answer to his call.

Resolution

To spend my precious time with baby, to enable her understand the value of life, to give her something i never had before, to show her love, joy and kindness, most importantly to show her the light that she will grow up and become a women of faith in God and amongst his peers and friends.

I was raised up poor, i wish to give my daughter not the poor life and more to cherished and comfortable life. However, nurturing them with love and kindness and most importantly humble and down to earth.

Thats it for now on my 2020 resolution. For me to get healthier life and also give Sarah Faith better attention and care.
