To make it short in a Steemworld were x amounts of bots are luring you in to delegate your SP to them and promising you a piece of the pie they are an absolute blessing.

Your SP comes out to play without anyone having to pay for it. As it meant to be!!

You will still curate yourself and set an amount of voting power you want to maintain.

When your voting power exceeds this amount you will cast votes to other club members and vice versa.

The best thing is it is more profitable than having your SP delegated in a bot.

Have a look at some community bots like @ssg-community for example. They work well and if you post regular they are way more profitable than delegating your SP to a bot.

"But is it not a self jerking circle?"

Yes and no.

Of course it is not perfect but Steemit will never be perfect and at least you have to write to benefit from it.

You keep your SP in your account and can still upvote by hand.

Yes there can and probably will be abuse and shitposts and all of that but I think it is a step in the right direction to bring earning, creating and engaging back togehter.

What we have now, isthat so much SP is held hostage in various bots if you look at the trending pages and take a look who the biggest voters are you can see it is the hookers of steemit but that is probably another post.

I will try it and see how well and if it works...

Let me know what you think you can check the original post here

Hello Steem-Bounty folk. I've joined the Vote Club, but I know that with HD20 coming tomorrow, my tiny .002 Vote Power will be rounded down to ZERO. After the Hardfork the minimum Vote Power will be .02. So, I was thinking of leasing SP through Minnow Booster. I have 40 SP now and think I will need another 400 at least, just to get up to the minimum .02 Perhaps I should lease 4000 SP. According to this calculator (https://www.steemnow.com/upvotecalc.html), 4000 would give my vote a value of .22. What do you advise regarding SP leasing. Do you think it would add value to the program? With the little that I have, I just don't think my vote is worth anything at all, in this program or even without it. I am ashamed to be so poor and afraid to offend others by voting with nothing to give. That's because I've been scolded for voting and bringing down the rewards due to the author and his circle-jerking buddies. Your advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

First of all there is nothing to be ashamed about to have not much SP

I dont think anyone mind if you join with not this much SP as the program is based on your voting power and not on your amount of SP.

If it is wise to lease SP...I cant really tell you I have never done it but I will ask some friends who have done it and will come back to you.

@flipstar, thanks. Some people do mind if low vote value members vote on their blog posts.

My vote power only has a value of $.002, so after the hardfork it will be worth zero. That's the new Dust Vote changes. Any vote less than $.02 becomes ZERO.

About the leasing of SPs, I mean specifically for the Steem-Bounty Vote Club. Thanks again.

I think it does not work that way.

Any comment of post that do not receive more than .02$ reward in total receives nothing. This has not changed.

Before HF20, accounts must possess about 1 SP for a 100% Voting Power vote to successfully post to the blockchain. Now, this limit is retired, but every vote is worth less. According to @danielsaori, that amount is 1.2 Steem Power less.

@ropaga, how do you interpret the last paragraph of the HF20 Dust Vote Threshold Changes? Screenshot below.

Also, I wanted to thank Steem-Bounty for the rewards I was given from this post. THANKS :)

The two interpretations are compatible with the text. The difference is in the value limit. Where did you find that value?

BTW, I can't upvote your post. It won't process. Is that because my vote is so WORTHLESS already???

it all confuses me a bit. The money has just always been such a back seat for me... though its dumb to say it. some day i will smarten up and use the tools that are in front of me.

I have to say the money was and is a big factor and motivator for me but if there would not be any fun involved I would be gone.

I think some things are ok to do and others are not.

I do not agree with the bots, Steemit is supposed to be a social network where people win for their content, that is, the person has to see the content that they like and either comment or vote if it is to their liking, but with the robots has become a round business, because people who have more SP prefer to earn profits by delegating their power to a bot than voting for someone who makes content in the community that we are tiny!
that's what happens a lot now ,? There are many silly publications with a lot of money because they pay a bot.
In my opinion, many bots have the steemit people winning little because there are no healers!
just go in and delegate a bots and win without doing anything!

I think it is an interesting concept, but still I have my doubts. Mainly because you have no idea what kind of post is rewarded with your vote. Nevertheless, I might give it a try. The problem is that I don't have a lot of VP to spare. I will have to make some serious changes in the ways that I spend my VP before this would be profitable.

I do think it's great that people are actively looking for a solution for the bot-problem.

I dont really thinkg about it as VP to spare more as if I dont have time on one day and so the VP doesnt go to waste.

I like that it requires you to post and have the SP in your Wallet. If it will work out and be a better system as the bots...we shall see.

As you I will give it a try

I am guessing I should give via vessel @ssg-community a try :-)

check it out!

I would rather if there were no bots on steemit and everything was grown organically but unfortunately that has never been the case and will probably never be the case. So as things stand i will use bots to an extent. They do gain you more visibility and if you use them smart it can make you a small bit of extra steem.

For voting I keep my SP right where i can see it in my wallet so that i can use it every day. I'm fairly active on here so for me it's important that i have good SP to vote and to power my account. What i have done is i have set a threshold on smartsteem so that if my voting power ever passes 90% then it will vote using my power. I think that it's a very economical way to do it since my Sp is there for me to use when i can but anytime that i am working or away from the site it will continue to earn for me and not waste a drop. It's all about how you use the system. Some people abuse it to the extreme but most just play smart with what they have.

I think bots can have a time and a place but the current situation is shit.

With the extra voting power I have done this as well with Minnowbooster and the same concept is with the voting club.

I use it not to make money but to make money if I dont have time to write and vote myself so my Votingpower does not go to waste if it exceeds 100%

Thank you for being here for me, so I can be here for you.
Enjoy your day and stay creative!
Botty loves you. <3

Well that's still a nice way as only active ones would be benefited no system is 100% capable of doing things right but even if it reaches close to that mark means we are heading in right direction and this is one such step :) thanks for sharing me about this :D

Sometimes people choose to get into the loophole of a system. @flipstar and that is what is happening in steemit, it is misused and abused with bots as a fine example.

Sadly yes but I hope this can free up some SP again

So far I have resisted the temptation to delegate SP. On the contrary, I am still trying to build up VP...

MYself I gave into the temptation before and regreted it.
I think it is fine to a degree if you dont post. But posting and wanting to earn with bots, this double dipping without giving a shit about being able to give back I dont like.

But hey, everyone has to decide that for themselves
