Playing Random Games Scavenger Hunt #2

Okay, since I’m running some contests and I can’t play my own I decided to look for some other contests that I could play.

I came across a post by @randomwanderings called Random Games Week #3 - Scavenger Hunt #2 - $11 SBD in prices!

I went through my photos (like a scavenger hunt!) and found this photo I took in Arizona while driving between Tucson and Phoenix. I know, I know. I should have pulled over.

Here’s What I Need to Find

So, I’m in! I need to find these items in one way or another in Steemit posts that are less than 7 days old:

1. Find a strong woman. (With yesterday being International Women's Day this should be simple to find.)
2. Find an airplane.
3. Find the color green.
4. Find a suit of armor.
5. Find a female musical artist.
6. Find a pet.
7. Find an old (older than the year 2000) advertisement. (TV Commercial, Print Ad, something similar, or a story about any of those thngs.)
8. Find a mask.
9. Find a famous cartoon character.
10. Find an old (1990 or older) camera. (No cell phones or iPads, an actual old camera.)

Find a Strong Woman

Okay, here we go!

For the “find a strong woman” item, I found Wait and See by @poetic-power.

I liked this image and the poem.

Find an Airplane

For this one, I wanted to find something a little different. I found a boatload (see what I did there?) of posts about a major airplane crash. Instead of using one of those, I chose a dtube post by @holdenthegreat.

The First and Only Flight of the Phoenix shows a model plane at take off. Loved the simple tagline on this one!

Find the Color Green

For green, well, my mind automatically goes to Ireland. Let’s see what I can find. Jackpot!

@bxlphabet has a lovely post called Gnarled Irish Roots treetuesday that shows the lovely green of Ireland.

Find a Suit of Armor

Okay. Let’s see what I can find.

This was a tough one but I took liberties and am using a post by @sigilmancy. It is called Crafty Fridays -- A spell jar for protection.

I like the idea of adding items to a jar and using it as your own personal suit of armor!

Find a Female Musical Artist

Here we go! I don’t speak or read whatever language this post is in but I enjoyed the singing! Later, the words are provided in English by I really enjoyed hearing her sing in Spanish (I think).

Find a Pet

Well, I looked over and gazed at my cat. But that doesn’t count.

So, I found this unusual pet: a squirrel! @animal-life wrote Bella, The squirrel that keep coming back to visit the family who saved her life for 8-years.

Find an Old Advertisement

Okey dokey, @randomwanderings. This one just about did me in, but NO! I persevered!

@wordymouth wrote this fabulous post called Scribbles - March 14, 2018. In it he talks about going to the store when he visited his grandmother and how he could always find something unique. I won’t mention that ads weren’t talked about in this post but dang it, it’s all I could find!

Close enough for government work. Right?

Find a Mask

Gladly! After that last one, this should be a piece of cake!

Well, not so much. But I found a post by @younitune of a darkly beautiful photo that reads: Shadows that hang over are cast by people undercover.

I’m not exactly sure what that means but look at the photo here: Shadows of worry. I think one of those shadows is wearing a mask.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Find a Famous Cartoon Character

These guys are superheros. They count as cartoon characters, right?

Find an Old Camera

This camera shown in this post is a pretty cool looking even if it is clip art.

Time Well Spent

As you said, @randomwanderings, I certainly found a lot (A LOT!) of new people here on Steemit and lots of great posts. Some were too old to use here but you’re tricky... good one!
