Random act of kindness
So today I met a nice lady named Laura. I met Laura when I saw her running toward her bus trying to catch it on her way to work. While Laura was running, she twisted her ankle, but the bus paid her no mind and went on its way, even thou Laura was frantically waving at the driver.
I tried to get the attention of the bus driver as I was driving past, but he didn't pay me any more attention then he did to Laura.
I turned around and went back toward Laura, who was sweating, taking on her phone. Laura is an older lady probably in her early 60's, I pull into the driveway near where she is and told her that saw her trying to catch the bus and it just left her. She agreed and stated, she just got off the phone it her work and informed her she was going to be late. I assured her she would make it on time to work and asked her if she would let me drive her to work, she was shocked and asked me several times if I was sure, and I informed her I was.
She hopped in the car and I drove her a few mile to her work, she informed me that even if the bus dropped her off where they do, she would usually be sweaty by the time she got to the office. I am glad that my air conditioner agreed with her and when we arrived she was as fresh as she could be.
Laura thanked me numerous times during the ride, and I thanked her, even told her to not worry about it and that I will consider it my good deed for the day. She thanked me one more time as she exited the car, and we noticed that she wasn't late at all, and was actually 15 minutes early.
Thank you Laura for letting me give you a ride to work and allow me to make a diffrence in one person's life today, her smile was worth more than all the thanx and praise she gave me.
Laura, I hope you have a great day today, and at least an interesting story to tell your husband and coworkers.
