Rara lake
Rara Lake is one of the most beautiful natural treasures of Nepal. It lies in the remote Mugu District in the north-western part of the country, inside Rara National Park. Surrounded by green hills, pine forests, and snow-capped mountains, the lake is famous for its calm blue water that changes color with the light of the day.
It is the largest lake in Nepal and sits high in the mountains, giving visitors a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The area around Rara Lake is rich in wildlife, including birds, deer, and other animals that live in the national park. Because it is far from big cities, the lake remains clean and quiet, making it a perfect place for nature lovers and trekkers.
Rara Lake is often described as a “heaven on earth” because of its natural beauty and serenity. It represents the untouched charm of Nepal’s landscapes and is an important symbol of the country’s natural heritage.
