RE: I Want To Become a Book Worm! :)
Way to show some discipline here! And now you've written it down, so there's no turning back :)
I remember reading Covey's book years ago and found it pretty profound. I was in the process of changing my eating habits and exercise and ended up realizing a whole lot more about change by the end, but the paradigm business really struck me as well.
It's interesting because I see the same with successful people on steemit. Most begin with visions of retiring early from their blogging, but if they make a paradigm shift and place their focus on others, as opposed to on themselves, suddenly doors open up. The real success here is in your community and not solely in yourself.
I really like the idea of showcasing a book you're reading too; it's something I've considered before, and after reading your post, I may have to get that idea back out, dust it off and revisit it. Thanks!
Hi @lynncoyle1, thank you for dropping by.
Yes, there's no turning back now that I have posted it online.
It's been months since I started with the book, and have only read the testimonials and the preface. Lol. Now, after reading almost a 100 pages, I started to see why the book has made a big impact to a lot of people. Now I am very much eager to finish the book, but somehow, I can't help but keep on coming back a few pages, as there are a lot of GEMS on every page of the book.
You should start showcasing books that you've been reading too, I will be on the lookout for it. No pressure!
Cheers!
