$4000 3D printed houses?
Icon partnering with the nonprofit New Story, built a 3-D printed home designed for the developing world and unveiled their $4,000 house in Austin, Texas last week.
Their goal is to expedite time, decrease cost and improve the quality of housing for people in El Salvador, Haiti and soon Mexico. They plan to build about 100 homes for people in slum areas in those nations within 18 months, while reducing building costs to about $4,000 from $10,000
Local authorities will grant the land on which the homes will be built on to the slum-dwellers. Families taking part in the project will pay a small, interest-free mortgage, which should take between five and 12 years to clear
Hi scalerman, very good post, I think it's a good project. because there are people of low resources who could not buy a house as prices are right now. and also it is easier for it to pay it in small installments. Congratulations.
Hi @mirla33..thanks on your comment. Its is a good project. Lots of need for this!
