How I use my Phone
Usually, in the morning when I wake up in the morning, I study the word and play some worship songs and then I check out for news and messages. During the day, I browse the internet to work and also study, I also operate some communication apps to deliver messages. In the evening, I spend time learning nee things and upgrading my skill.
My screentime helps me stay informed, connected and productive during the day. However, I try as much as possible to avoid excessive phone use by setting aside time for studying, resting and performing household activities.
What are the reasons why you use your mobile phone so much?
• I use my mobile phone frequently because it helps me stay connected, informed and productive. According to my digital wellbeing report, my screentime today showed 5 hrs, 35 minutes, and chrome browser is my most used application.
• I mainly use my phone to deliver my daily work, learn and research. Through chrome, I search for informations read some educational articles, learn new skills and complete some assignments. I also use my phone to get my knowledge improved in areas like; cooking and technology.

• Another reason I use my phone is for communication. I stay online always through some social media apps to be able to communicate with my boss, not for fun but for work. I also stay in touch with friends and family who are obviously far away.
• In addition, I use my phone for personal development and entertainment. I watch educational videos, read blogs, and some times browse social media to stay updated on current events. Instead of wasting my screen time on games, I focus more on learning and gathering useful informations.
Screen time has both positive and negative effects on my life. On the positive side, it helps me learn new things, communicate effectively and complete some given task quickly. On the negative side, spending too much time on my phone can sometimes reduce the time needed for other activities like; house chores, social activities, praying, exercise etc...
To maintain a healthy balance, I try to use my phone purposefully and take breaks when necessary. Overall, my mobile phone is an important tool that supports my education, communication, and personal growth.
Share three physical activities that take you away from screen time.
- Activity 1
In my activity one, you can see me doing what I know how best to do, cooking. This is a time I pay rapt attention to my creativity to enable me get an amazing result. Cooking is my skill and I love doing it without distractions, so I put away my phone to enable me concentrate.
Although using a mobile phone while cooking in the kitchen isn't advisable. So this is a time I stay away from screen for hours.
- Activity 2
The next one is studying the word. Studying the word demand extreme attention and so no distraction whatsoever is needed at this point. The screen is off my side at this time because I need absolute concentration to locate what I desire from the word.
- Activity 3
Resting is an important aspect of maintaining a healthy living and I try not to skip that. This is my way of staying off screen and relieving myself of stress and worry by relaxing my spirit , soul and body.
What benefits did you see when you reduced your screen time?
Before I became mindful of my phone usage, I spent a a good time of my day on my mobile phone. I could browse the internet, chat with friends and roaming social media. Although my phone was useful, I noticed I often spend more time on it than necessary.
After reducing my screen time and engaging in more physical activities, I observed various positive changes in my daily life. My current screen time is about 5 hours and 35 minutes, which is lower than the amount of time I previously spent on my phone. By spending less time on my device, I have more time available for productive activities like; studying, cooking, house chores and exercise.
Benefits
• I can now focus better on important tasks without being distracted by notifications or messages.
• I now feel less tired because I spend fewer hours staring at a screen.
• Reducing screen time has helped me manage my time more effectively and maintain a healthy living.
Participating in physical activities has improved my well-being. Instead of spending all my free time on my phone, I can now use some of that time to develop new skills and engage in meaningful activities. .
What advice would you give to others to avoid excessive screen time and reduce mobile phone use?
In today's digital world, mobile phone have become an important part of our daily life that when you are offline, it feeos like out of the world. While they help us work, learn and communicate, exccessive screen time can negatively affect our health so it is advised to use mobile phones responsibly.
• First, set daily limits for phone usage. This would help people cut down exccessive use of some mobile apps and manage time well.
• Engage in physical activities more than screen. Instead of spending time scrolling through different apps, engage in walks, house chores, games, read books etc.
• Turn off unnecessary notifications because constant alert can cause people to check their phones all the time even when it is not necessary.
• Create phone-free period time. Avoid operating tge mobile phone while you eat, on the bed during bed time, or immediately after waking up.
In conclusion, people should reduce excessive screen time and enjoy better sleep, reduce stress, build stronger relationships, and more. Mobile phones are valuable tools, but they should support our lives rather than control them.

Hi, thank you for the complement!
But I don't think you understood the clear meaning between sleeping and resting. Check out their meaning and have a better understanding. I guess you are the type that sleep and still operate your mobile phone.
If you had read my entry just like you said, you should have understood that resting is totally different from sleeping and yes, resting and sleeping are activities that keeps us away from the screen/ mobile phones. You should have a better understanding first before dropping your beautiful comment.
Ok @ninapenda now I understand thanks for the brief explanations
Sincerely
@ikechukwu77

I love the digital well being thing on your phone. How I wish I can see it on my phone as it would be also useful to me. Do you have any idea of which part of my phone it could be found lemme see if it’s available in mine?
