Lemon sorbet
Hello friends of steemit I hope you are well, I bring you a recipe or better said a delicious and easy to prepare post, but before I had to investigate a bit that it is a sorbet because for me it was ice cream but it is not.
The sorbet is an ice cream dessert, which is different from ice cream because it does not contain fatty ingredients, besides not including egg yolk, for this reason its texture is less firm, more liquid and less creamy than ice cream.
The main ingredient of a sorbet is the juice of fruits and that is already on our part to prepare it to our liking.
The recipe of this lemon sorbet has a procedure in which the mixture is taken to the kitchen, but you can prepare it with other futas and without the egg whites, the sorbet can be prepared only with the frozen fruits and sugar.
** Ingredients: **
- 500g of lemon juice
- 900g of water
- 500g of sugar
- 4 egg whites
- Grated 1 lemon
- Pinch of salt
** Preparation: **
We squeeze the lemons, with a manual or electric juicer, we reserve, in a cup we incorporate: lemon juice, water, sugar and lemon zest; mix well and take to the fire until it breaks to boil.
Turn off the heat, strain the lemon mixture, reserve, let cool. Once the lemon juice is very cold, assemble the egg whites with a pinch of salt to the point of snow, with the help of some electric rods, add the well-mounted whites to the lemon mixture and beat with the electric rods until they are a frothy mixture.
We cover the bowl with plastic wrap and take it to the freezer for 2 hours. Every 30 minutes we take the bowl from the freezer, we beat again well and again to the freezer, this step will be made a total of 4 times until the 2 hours are done.
