A GIRL SCOUT STORY TO REMEMBER

At Mactan Elementary School, a yearly activity happened. And one girl stood up in my eyes, and it was my lovely daughter Matheena who was so energetic and active in participating different activities and even cried if cannot go. With a twinkling in her eyes and heart full of perseverance, she once more participated the said activity. And in her shining eyes, I can see that she is ready to learn, willing to lead and inspire other learners. This was just started with a simple curiosity because she really love to participate to all school activities and soon it will became her journey of growth and discovery.

My girl embraced every activities they encountered with a joyful heart and determination. From different games to their group presentation. She learned not only the practical skills but as well as the value of unity, service and friendship. Through the said activities, Matheena just proved that true scouting is not just wearing uniform and how you value the different learning you had.

In the picture above, I can see Matheena is enjoying playing with her schoolmates. And it also taught her the value of sportsmanship. Before she really wanted to win all the activities but slowly she is now happy even she failed to win, the important thing is that she was able to gain many friends and was able to fit in the different game. After the game, win or lose they all received a plastic of candies and these kids pure joy were evident as they received those.

They also had a campfire but they just do it around 3pm so that the activity will finish earlier since they
still have class the next day.

To sum up, the activity made my little girl memorable.
