Jealousy and Envy

Ok we have all done this at some stage in our Lives
But being Envious or Jealous isn`t very good at all, It does us no good and feelings burn away inside us making us
very bitter. It will reflect on how we treat others.

The Scriptures tell us about Jealousy

1 Corinthians 3:3
3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?

1 Corinthians 13:4
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Ecclesiastes 4:4
4 And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

Philippians 2:3
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

So what do we need to do if we are jealous or have envied?.

Well, the first thing to do is recognise that you are having those issues.
second to pray to God for guidance and strength to correct yourself.
Say how you feel do not bottle up those negative feelings and remember not to ask for the wrong reasons.
Realise that God may have his own plan for you. He knows you better than you know yourself.
He has chosen for you to have a different path and at the right time it could be your turn in the chair.
You may not like what is happening but everything has a purpose.
It is how you understand and respect your brother or sister and we are all being tested.
So instead of being Jealous, etc be of a glad heart.
