1054 AD

In the year 1054 AD a star exploded which is referred to as a supernova, the name of this pulsating nebula is the Crab Nebula.
It is believed that this was a massive star before it exploded. It is 6523 light years away from the earth and within the Milky Way galaxy which is the galaxy that our solar system is located.
I find it very interesting that this star exploded right around the same time that the Great Schism in the Church occurred.
Prior to this event the Church was united together as one.
Another interesting note about this is that when the star exploded it was seen in the sky during the daytime for nearly a month.
Was this a sign given by God in the heavens of His everlasting love and mercy or of sadness and sorrow or both?
