The people were preaching and they were persecuted, they have accepted it as a price they will pay even if it is with their lives.

Now James was taken and killed, the church accepted it as God's will, and to make it worse, Peter was taken, it dawned on them that if they don't prayerfully take a stand, Peter will die too.

They started praying and God delivered Peter.
