Lesson 1
v. 15-16 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for this man is a [deliberately] chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; for I will make clear to him how much he must suffer and endure for My name’s sake.”
Our God is so purposeful in His deeds and plans. He had plans for Saul. He had drafted a design on the assignment for Saul. We all have a place in God's plan and ultimate design. We must all be deliberate to seek Him to know what He wills for us as well as the sufferings ear-marked for us as we journey on the path of purpose.
Lesson 2
v. 22 But Saul increased in strength more and more, and continued to perplex the Jews who lived in Damascus by examining [theological evidence] and proving [with Scripture] that this Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).
Reading this verse opens my heart and eyes to the dedication and commitment put in by Saul. He indeed studied and was presented as a workman who was not ashamed of his tools. He would use theological evidences as well as written word to present the messiahshi[ of Christ. This is a challenge to us to embark on thorough scriptural search and research just like the Berean (Acts 17: 11) so we can educate with grace everyone who cares to know about Christ.
