A nice initial post @pointblanklogic! Welcome to Steemit.
We call that concept 'teleworking' here. Remote working also lends itself well to freelancing.
It sounds like a topic that is a goldmine for information. I really look forward to seeing more of your posts on the matter.
As an aside, since you are new to Steemit, you may find this article to be of interest.
Thanks for the welcoming comment.
Discovering Steemit these days, simply because the whole crypto world looks very promising with its highly disruptive potential for many organizational constructs humans came up with all along history. Hopefully "disruptive" for the greater good! We will see. Interesting times to live in for sure, It's a front row seat for historical developments.
I think we may have got it all wrong. At home, it should be just called 'working'. Going to someone else location for working should be the 'teleworking'. I suppose you may be right, that topic may be an information goldmine...
I like that suggestion.
Of course not all job descriptions lend themselves equally well to remote working. Not without introducing a significant degree of automated assistance into the mix. Even then, sometimes the direct involvement of a human is simply desirable.
As for suggesting remote working as your niche - its only a suggestion. I don't see many people talking about it and it could generate a fair bit of interest over a series of posts.
Of course, it is clear that jobs with manual/physical interactions are difficult/impossible to preform in a remote setup.
But, on the other hand, with our current and future computer network systems, all the knowledge jobs can (should?) definitely be considered...
Thanks for the suggestion and your impression on the current number of posts or rather lack of posts on the subject. This niche subject is definitely on my mind.
