I recently visited Riaz Uddin Bazaar, the largest repair service market in Chattogram. In this post, I will share a review and the location of a blender repair service. While you will find many service shops in this area, I am specifically sharing the Mamun Blender Service in this contest.

Location

The shop does not have a specific nameplate. It is the 3rd shop in the Service Goli of the historic and well-known Riaz Uddin Bazaar. The shop is owned and operated by Mr. Mamun, who handles all the repair work himself. It's Open every day except Friday and There are no fixed opening or closing hours.

Shop Interior and Atmosphere

People from far and wide come here to repair their blenders or buy second-hand units. As it is a specialized repair shop, the interior isn't fancy—it looks exactly like a normal repair workshop should.

Inside, there is a shelf where blenders are arranged in 5–6 different rows. All the blenders available here are either second-hand or refurbished. Many customers also visit to sell their old or broken blenders to the shop.

Dual Services: Blenders and Locksmithing

Interestingly, Mr. Mamun owns another repair shop directly opposite his blender shop. In that shop, he provides lock and key services, including making duplicate keys and offer home-service for those who are locked out of their houses.

He usually sits in the blender shop, but whenever a customer arrives for lock-related issues, he steps across to assist them. During our conversation, I also learned that he is capable of repairing various other electronic items beyond just blenders and locks.

Customer Experience

During my visit, I observed him interacting with a customer who needed a specific nut for the bottom of a blender. Mr. Mamun behaved very professionally and politely, helping the customer select the exact right part. Since many customers aren't familiar with technical parts, he personally suggests the best components for their needs.

Parts and Pricing

Besides repairs, they stock all kinds of spare parts including nuts, bolts, jar rubbers, and plastic components. The cost depends entirely on the type of service. The highest service charges usually apply to coil or motor issues, which often require rewinding the coil or installing a new motor.

Second-hand Blenders with a Guarantee

You can purchase second-hand blenders from famous brands like Philips, Panasonic, Miyako, and Jaipan. While second-hand items usually don't come with a warranty, the owner offers a 2-month guarantee on any blender purchased from him. This seems like a very fair deal.
