Retro Convoy: Retro Raiders

Wrapped up the new short today, doing my best to stay on this three-week upload schedule (so expect the next one on… July 28th!). It’s a fun one, Rege and Jacc deal with some space raiders in their own unique way (“Retro” raiders if we’re being canonically correct).

I bit the bullet and got back into After Effects with this one (and thus the whole Adobe suite). I try to use open source stuff as much as possible, but in this case there just isn’t a better alternative. I’ll be using the Blender compositor for the majority of work (which is itself hugely underrated), but when it comes to adding lazers and flashes, nothing beats good ol’ AE. It felt like coming home.
