RE: HALLOWEEN FILMS PART 1

in #review8 years ago

In 1960, Alfred Hitchcock initiated the films about mentally unbalanced people - that is, maniacs. And who knows how things would go further in this area, if not for John Carpenter's "Halloween", which fixed this film genre and encouraged others to shoot similar films.
Despite the small budget, Carpenter gave us a truly masterpiece, which every connoisseur of a good movie is indebted to, regardless of his preferences. It was this film that gave birth to many personal scenes for a good horror film (in modern terms, stereotypes) that all directors used, used and will use.
If we compare those years with modernity, then the difference in the actors' play is clearly visible. In this picture we see bright, emotional heroes who gave themselves all to their roles. And the game looks great (for comparison, in most modern horror films, actors walk like zombies and barely react to what is happening).
Times change. And if now nobody looks seriously at the film with a budget of $329 000 (in most cases "this" and the film cannot be called), then in 1978 Carpenter did the impossible, taking for this money a real masterpiece, which rightfully can be called a film legend horrors.
