WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW SAMSUNG S9
Its no longer news that the next Samsung flagship phone will be the Galaxy s9. The release date will probably be at the tradeshow this February.

Price
From a reliable source, the samsung galaxy S9 is expected to go for $730. Though there are speculations that it will ship at a higher price.
Screen
The galaxy s9 screen is spoting a water-repellent coating and an in-screen scanner. Also the screen aspect ratio is still maintained at 18:5:9 while also maintaining the same screen size of 5.8 inches as Galaxy s8 with curved edges.
With the new Qualcomm Fingerprint Sensor, the scanner can now sit below thick displays and OLED technology, hence the new in-screen finger print scanner accompanying the phone. The glass coating Samsung licensed back in 2016 which bounces water and liquids off a smartphone's screen has been applied in developing this flagship. watch this video below to see how the technology works
Design
One of the major design improvements of the galaxy S9 is the smaller bezel. Also both the front and back glass are curved. The phone still maintains the 3.5mm headphone jack.

It might be difficult to spot the changes from the image above but the s9 ships with about 90% screen-to-body ratio which is an improvement from about 84% on the S8 which makes the S9 slightly shorter than the S8.

Camera
The Samsung galaxy S9 will be capable of shooting videos at the rate of 1000 frames per second which tops anything in the current market. The S9 will spot only single lens while the S9+ will spot dual lens snapper.
The S9 will also feature a new way to unlock your smartphone since the front facing camera comprise of 3D sensor. It will also spot new camera modes and features.
Battery
The Samsung S9 will feature a bigger battery than the s8 and also a more power efficient. Samsung will now use substrate-like PCB tech that will allow the Exynos chipset manufacturer to include a bigger battery without increasing the size of the processor. But Samsung is cautious in packing big battery into their phones after the battery incident with the Galaxy note 7.
Performance
Samsung is featuring the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 which will also power the US versions of the S9. The chipset offers 8 cores with 4 of the cores running at frequence of 2.8GHZ and the remaining 4 cores running at lower speed of 1.8GHZ.
The Snapdragon 845 chip allows for camera recording of up 4K Ultra High Definition videos at 60 focus per second. It also has performance improvement of about 30% to the 835.
