Film Review Kimi no Na wa: Full of Typical Emotional Scenes Makoto Shinkai

in #review7 years ago

Appointed from a novel of the same title, Kimi no Na wa anime film finally officially aired in Indonesia on December 7, 2016 yesterday. The novels and films all written and directed by Makoto Shinkai succeeded in becoming an anime blockcbuster movie in Asia with ticket sales of over 15 million pieces and revenues of about 20 billion yen. Kimi no Na wa also topped the Japanese box office for nine weeks in a row.

Previously Kupaman had time to give a little leak about the anime this movie. Where the two main characters, Mitsuha Miyamizu and Taki Tachibana experience a strange dream that ended with their body swapped. Mitsuha who lives in Itomori exchange bodies with Taki who lives in Tokyo, and vice versa.

At first the incident may be related to the dream of Mitsuha who always wanted to go and live in Tokyo because according to him Itomori is just a small town in the mountains is very boring. Not much can be done Mitsuha and Taki in addition to struggling and adapting to their new bodies.

Mitsuha and Taki are also looking for each other to be able to meet, hoping to get an answer to the mysterious incident that they experienced. But the search is not an easy matter at all. Too many miracles that unfortunately hinder them to meet. In the search, Taki also finally found something surprising.

To be honest, this anime movie has a slightly mixed story line with a random pattern. In a series of scenes, sometimes the plot of the future suddenly changes into the past or the present. Coupled with the theme of a parallel world, Kimi no Na wa is quite confusing. But that's where it's interesting.

Kimi no Na wa also presents a lot of peak scenes that sometimes make the audience very emotional, as if really become the main character and also feel what they feel. Various tense moments, fun, sad, to the relief to adorn the movie anime story duration almost two hours from start to finish.

Comparing with Makoto Shinkai's previous novel and anime movie, 5cm Per Second (Byosoku 5 Centimeter), Kimi no Na wa is very attached to the characteristic of Makoto Shinkai. Starting from the illustrations, animated graphics, themes, dialogs and scenes, to the colors that are presented-especially the color of the sky is very beautiful and distinctive. Fortunately Kimi no Na wa a little more fortunate because it has a pretty sweet ending.

With all the aspects it has, it has been answered why the anime of this movie could become a block buster and dominate Japan's box office topper for nine consecutive weeks, defeating the legendary film anime from Studio Ghibli (Howl's Moving Castle), and registered in Academy Award nominations to -89.

For fans of anime and animation, Kimi no Na wa is highly recommended. Kupaman deliberately did not give spoiler about the anime of this movie, because a lot of scenes and perfect moments are very dear if passed the sensation when watching. For that it's good also if before watching, as much as possible to avoid all kinds of forms spoiler.

Though slightly confusing-which makes it even more interesting, the anime of this movie is very "Makoto Shinkai" which is also famous for its emotional story. Nothing unattractive from Kimi no Na wa. In addition, if you want to learn more about the story, it's good to watch focus and do not invite too many friends.
