It's just one extra string actually, but, yes. It's above the low E string, it's always that way with electric guitars. Even if it's a 12 string, they're always above the low E string, dood.
doh! of course it is only one more string. I can play reasonably well and have been doing so for 20 years but because i live in a place with 2 million percent humidity, guitars are things that don't last very long here - hence me forgetting that there are only 6 strings on a standard guitar. :P
Sounds like it's time to bust out a ukulele, sonnnn. If it can survive Hawaiian weather, it can survive anywhere, babyyy.
But, yeah. I might pick up an 8 string guitar at some point in the future, actually. Kinda need it to play certain bands music, like Meshuggah/Archspire/etc. Right now my biggest goal is to save up enough money to get my dream 6 string guitar, which is an upgraded version of what I had as a teenager that I fucking miss dearly. So, that won't be for awhileee.
