I found some in Carrefour last year that were great once they are glued in, well worth 3 quid. Do the 'hearos' block out freight trains too? @tarazkp has warned us :)
8 kg, should be enough but i'll be wearing an extra layer or two on the flight if not.

I dunno if they block out freight Theyre pretty good with low tones not so muxh with.high.
