New advances in robotics and my thoughts on them
See the video below of the new advances of the Atlas model from Boston Dynamics. As it is possible to notice, the model is already fully functional and ready to replace a human in any area.
Maybe it won’t take 2 years for it to be sold like a new car, but for now it is for factories, stores, markets, in the house doing domestic chores... Even the design is meant to try to replace a human, since all infrastructure was made for humans, a humanoid robot is really capable of using the current infrastructure without the need to change anything.
But then comes the question: if humans do not work and earn money, to whom will these factories, stores, etc. sell? Will a meaningless economy be built? Or will humans be treated like in a zoo, where no one will have the right to anything anymore? Many already say that the current economy is somewhat meaningless and that the vast majority of people are not necessary working, and are only there so they think they are doing something.
These are some questions that people probably asked during the industrial revolution...
