The deepest desires of our heart are always righteous and true and ground us deeply into the essence of what it means to be alive. They follow us from day one, to our last breath, and beyond. They make us, us. They manifest in things like families and careers and passions and dreams that sometimes come crashing down into piles of rubble and dust. During such times we can feel as if our life is over, that there is nothing left. But we can discover once again that we are not what we've done or what we are doing. We are that deeper source of life out if which the dreaming springs. I hope you enjoy. Teal

Your writing left me speechless, which I am told is hard to do. This one hits home. My hubby and I were planning a wonderful retirement together when he was diagnosed with cancer. I have walked a mile in those shoes...following.
