Daniel kept flipping over the pages of the documents on his office table, he couldn't rectify what the problem was all about, he couldn't concentrate. His old man had chosen to keep troubling him about getting a wife, "for crying out loud am just twenty nine" he suddenly spoked up, he flings the documents on the table and relaxed on the office chair
Daniel was the only son of a well known wealthy man, chief Beecroft but popularly known as chief daddy, he lost his wife at the birth of Daniel, years ago, he had refused to remarry because he couldn't find any lady as loving as his late wife, Agnes or a woman whom Daniel will worm up to. He had been raising Daniel alone until he employed a nanny and a maid who took over from him, and at the age of seventeen, he sent Daniel abroad to school with his younger brother. Daniel was back in Nigeria and had taken over from his father's chains of business and yet he won't let him be on the issue of getting married. He picked up his phone which was ringing on the table, it was aunt Pat, his nanny calling
"Hello, big mommy, good afternoon"
"Afternoon, sorry to disturb you, just wanted to ask what you will like to have for dinner, so that Grace will start preparing it" she asked referring to the house maid
"Big mommy, tell her to prepare my favorite"
"Ok, I'll do that now, and get back early so you won't have it cold" she said
"Thank you, bye" he said and cut the call. He had grown to love this woman, she had become part of the family and chief Beecroft had been helping her family since she lost her husband and her two children were now in the University studying
There was a knock on the door and Daniel's secretary walked in, he turned to her direction and stare from up to down. Kate was really a pretty lady, she was putting on a navy blue blouse on a plain black tight skirt, she wore a light make up and had her hair breaded allback but he won't want to admit that, women are all the same, all they want is money, and s*x, he doesn't believe in love himself
