10K training run W7D2 (fiftyrunstillmay 7/50)
Second run of the week yesterday. As I explained it in my previous post, this was an easy session before my first test on 10K this weekend.
All I had to do was running 50' at 5'10"/km pace. But it's actually harder that we think in the sense that it's hard to be slow during the entire run. I had to look at my watch several times to be sure I was slow enough. At the end of the 50', I needed to do 3 accelerations (I don't really know why it's useful so if someone knows, feel free to share it in the comment section ;) ).
Here you can see my Strava session with the intervals:
You can see in the first screenshot that I already ran 1000 km with those shoes. I definitely need to buy a new pair! But I currently live in Prague and the salesmen don't really speak english in the stores and I want good advice. So I'll wait to be back in Belgium for Christmas to buy a new pair.
Great running @romaincrx. The accelerations at the end will be training your body for a sprint finish. Definitely time to buy some new shoes too!
Also check out @jumowa's RunForSteem project.
Thank you for the information! Yes I know, I will buy new ones in one month :) I know the challenge and I participated this week with another run :)
