A "wimp" walk in the park, quite literally

in #running17 hours ago

Every now and then someone will go and make two trails for the people that come to our events. The long and tougher one is called "Rambo" and the shorter and let's be honest, much easier one, is called the "Wimp" trail. We don't really care which one you do and there is no prize for doing the tougher one. We are all equally worthless here.

At just 2 km - I think actually was a bit below that amount, and a mere 45 meters in elevation change, this is one of the easiest trails we have had so far in 2026 and given the fact that I was kind of tired this day, that was perfect for me. It's still good to get out there and do something even if that something isn't very much at all.

nobody is allowed to complain about this gradient, that thing barely went anywhere. The Rambo trail on this run was over 6k and while I contemplated doing it when I got to the sign that splits the two trails, I ultimately decided to take the easy way out.

Don't worry, I will be ready for another 6km or so come this Thursday where we will once again meet outside the Tha Pae Gate McDonalds at 330pm. If you want to come along just show up and look for the people in brightly colored and silly shirts. That will be us.

If you are ever on a trail that has wimp/rambo as an option this will be pointed out to you in the pre-run briefing but if for whatever reason you are not paying attention or are just plain stupid.. if you see an R or W on the ground in chalk on a HHH run this means the tough stuff is towards the R and the wimp stuff is towards the W.

This will also be pointed out a lot of times while you are actually doing the trail run or walk. That's one thing that is really great about the Hash House Harriers: we are a social club first and the exercise is just kind of an added bonus.

Check out the full details of all of our upcoming runs by going to our official and poorly made website
