Seems that you didn't notice your inactivity this week...it has been a good run 👍🏻

I keep active anyway with lots of walking to get to work. I hope I can keep up the running now.

Don't neglect your slow runs - low effort keeps your heart rate in the aerobic training zone which builds your base fitness, on which all your performances sit on.

Cheers. I'll bear that in mind

I passed eight runners today, out on the road, most on the side with the wide verge, only one with nearly as many clothes as I was wearing and one, the smoothest runner, just in singlet and shorts. I thought I would keep on to the shop and pick up some smoked fish for breakfast, realised when I got there that I didn't have any cash with me!

@shanibeer you passed them? Are you telling us you were running faster than them ? lol :-)

No one was going to pass the runner in the singlet and shorts. He was very fast and very graceful. I'm glad you're paying attention, though 😜

Graceful ? hmmmm you mean hot ? lol ;-)

I did have two tops on and some gloves that I had to take off part way. It's quite a nice day now.

Yes, it turned out lovely, almost balmy.

Well done for getting out there, it's hard to find the motivation after not running for a week. xx

Just have to do it if I want to keep improving. Having an event lined up helps

Not a runner myself but my wife runs in all kinds of weather including the white stuff!

She even ran on the canal this week during the 'bad day' of Wednesday pulling along our reluctant 'more white than golden' retriever, felt more sorry for the dog!

She needs to get her SweatCoin's for the day though! My introduction to Cryptocurrency has had its effect I suppose :)

I'd just slip on snow in these shoes. I need some trail shoes really.

Glad your area finally thawed out enough to get a safe run in! Is it likely you will get more snow or does it look like spring is around the corner in your neck of the woods?

I'm trying not to complain too much about chilly overnight temps here as before I know it the weather gets ridiculously hot and humid. I think it may actually be worse trying to run in the summer around here!

That may be it for this winter. Some years we don't get any. It just causes chaos when we do

well done on getting out in the cold. In shorts even!

That's way too cold for me to be out in trousers!

It's good that you are still feeling good as you ramp up the distance. It's amazing how your body adapts to the increase in workload.

I'm now comfortable running at a pace that would have killed me this time last year.

It looks like you are well on track for the half marathon in May.

First of all those legs are definitely the legs of a Englishman. joking
Second i am really impressed with your ability and dedication, well done.
I used to run and be really active, but then i contracted fibromyalgia. I do alot of walking on the beach and in our forests when im studdying its diversity.
But there is nothing like the highs that working out and keeping fit gives you.

You get used to running, like any physical activity. It's great, that the snow melted, it will melt in my town at least the end of April. Work added snowfall, which has been going on for the last 4 days

Wow, where are you? We just get snow for a week or two each winter, if at all

I live in Russia, in the Urals. Even in may you can see the remains of the snow in the dark corners. On all omens, this spring must be early and warm. I hope so))))

I expect you are used to it. I don't mind winter, but I like that our weather is not too extreme.

So you ran 12 KM?! Awesome!!!
I have been trying to break that 6 KM mark for quite some time now! By the time I hit that 5-6KM mark I feel so exhausted and just quits it. I hope that I could break at least an 8KM mark within the 2 weeks ( I eat way less these days, maybe that is the reason 🙂)

It takes time to build up, but keep pushing your limits. I need to double this for the race.
