Running Project - Morning Run In Paris

I never got around to posting this run while I was in France, but thinking back on it a few weeks later, it left such an impression on me that I thought I would post it. Better late than never. This was the last day of our two week trip before flying back to the U.S., so I got up early for a short run along the scenic Seine River that runs through the middle of Paris.

From our hotel in the Vendome neighborhood, I headed northwest along Tuileries Gardens towards Palace De La Concorde where I dropped down the the path in the photo below along the Seine River.

I crossed over the bridge in the distance in the photo above just past Musee De Orsay on the other side. I ran down to the next bridge and crossed back over and headed back into the Tuileries Gardens where I got the shot below. Through the arch in the distance takes you to the famous pyramid at the Louvre Museum.

I went the other direction into the Gardens and past the amusement park and the Ferris wheel to get back to the hotel. I love the box cut trees in the gardens as seen in the photo below that I took the day before.

It was a short run, but a very memorable one because of the location and the fact that it was the last day of my trip.
