in #russia8 years ago

The Moscow Stock Exchange is likely to start the trading of digital currencies. The exchange is expected to list derivatives and exchange-traded funds (ETF) based on bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

The exchange is currently creating an infrastructure to trade Bitcoin and other virtual currencies as of August 2017. The move comes after Russia seemingly banned ‘ordinary people’ from buying cryptocurrency.

Based on a report by Russian state-owned news agency Tass, the exchange has claimed that a platform for the post-trading of cryptocurrency assets is already in the works.

@maochitse its a real big news and its a need of an hour for Russia to recognise the importance of cryptocurrencies. Japan realized it due to bitcoins but Russia has got many more including Ethereum, waves, steem and may be many more. if moscow is accepting the cryptocurrencies their are few simple and straight forward reasons for the sames. There is a nationalistic approach of Russian government which is likely to get good price increase in crypto markets

@maochitse if moscow is accepting the cryptocurrencies their are few simple and straight forward reasons for the same. One of it is many of the co-founders or founders of cryptocurrencies are Russians, whether it is ethereum, steem or waves. There is a nationalistic approach
